‘In Living Colour’ has the perfect balance of driving club energy and pop aesthetics. ‘Sex’ is a much different tempo, drawing on heavy Baile-funk influences, this is ghetto pop made for the dancefloor and it sounds heavy. rhythms, Metric chops up the beats 'n vocals here like if he were Prince signed to Ed Banger. Slamming tracks like "Oh"
percolate with ironic electro-pop synths and brash hip-hop attitude, while "Breakin Hearts" seduces with chunky guitar
glitch given the trademark Metric acid wash. The e.p.'s cheeky power culminates in the title track, "Whatshewants,"
a squelching dancefloor stormer whose chunky hooks bring rude rock intensity to electronic club thump.
